Imported from India, This fibre is pure silk. Its called pulled silk. It has come from recycled selvedges of saris and is then pulled apart and carded into roving. Excellent for spinning alone or into another roving, plying or blending. Look closely at the photos and you can see the beautiful shine.I am selling it in one (1) ounce lots. Have a look at the knitting sample, spun and knitted from a different dye lot. It was spun fine and navajo plied before knitting. The photo with the ball of yarn is silk roving plied with wool and a little extra silk from a thrum (the red) added in.This silk was purchased from a manufacturer and there may be some dye residue, so please use caution and prewash your item with cool water before using it.
